Reassurance, not surveillance
The whole point of this page is that it tells you enough and no more. Your mother is an adult with a private life, and a checkin is a conversation, not a monitor.
What you see
- That the checkin happened, and how long it lasted.
- A general sense of her spirits, in plain words.
- Anything she asked us to tell you, with her consent each time.
- What's coming up — her calls, activities and your visits.
What you never see
- What was actually said. No transcripts, no recordings, no summaries of her conversations.
- Health or medical detail. That belongs to her and her care team.
- Her location or movements. No tracking, no cameras, no wearables.
- Anything she declined to share. And you are not told that she declined.
If something needs attention
If GRACE hears something that needs a person — a fall, pain, distress — the on-duty staff at Willow Court are alerted immediately, with a time stamp and a record. They are trained, they are on site, and they are the right people to respond.
You are then told according to your preference, by the community rather than by an automated message. GRACE never diagnoses, never gives medical advice, and never dials emergency services on her behalf. It recommends and it escalates to people.
